"The purpose of this report is to bring together, under one cover, some of the reliable statistical data which will be useful to tribal planning groups and others involved in developing plans for tribal use. This report is one in a series of reports, each dealing primarily with data for a specific reservation in the Minneapolis Area. Each of these reports begins with a series of tables summarizing data for the entire Minneapolis Area. A brief history of the reservation is given then data are presented that are applicable specifically to the reservation and the adjacent areas. Much of the data is taken from the 1970 population census. Some data have been developed from other sources. The source of data is given for each table and where the source is other than the decennial census the frequency of the publication of the source materials is given so the user of this report can update the tables from time to time to provide current data for use in tribal planning. Some of the data are reported on a county basis but part of them have been obtained by combining enumeration districts (EDs) and minor civil divisions (MCDs) for the reservation and adjacent localities which will be of primary concern for tribal planning endeavors"--Page i.
