Mr. Hardy asks Frank And Joe to help him with his case concerning a gang that is stealing mercury. He asks them to call a shipping company in New York; however, a mistake with the area code causes them to reach the Pentagon, instead, just at the precise moment that a robbery occurs. These events lead Frank and Joe to Baltimore, where they attempt to track down the gang.
