The Unwomanly Face of War

An Oral History of Women in World War II
May 06, 2024
The author is an oral historian who recently won the Nobel Prize for literature. Just recently translated into English, the book contains personal stories of numerous Soviet women who fought against the Nazis in World War II. The personal stories provide enlightening and moving first-person former Soviet perspectives of the war, most of which would not be available in another book, especially in English. - Vadim R., North Regional Library
