"Gasping for Air" by Pascal J. Ellen from the collection Queerly Loving #2. Mika, the narrator of this story, is demisexual and enby (non-binary) which is also how the author identifies. The story revolves around life in and around a bar called the Boi*kott, a queer. alternative, politically left orientated gathering space. It includes discussion on gender and demisexuality and a focus on Mika's friendship with Tomke who they often ride the tram back and forth with late at night. It's often too hard to say goodbye when it's been a perfect evening and everything feels just right.
