Pride and Prejudice is a literary classic written by Jane Austen, who marvels in using clever yet simple stories about the lives of even simpler yet cleverer characters, during the Victorian era in England. This book truly does deserve any praise it does receive, however it is not perfect. I personally found it hard to get into in the first half of the book (about 200 pages), which is definitely a fault as it is my belief, stories should grip an audience early on. Secondly, it can be a little tedious to read about extremely rich and privileged people complaining about issues which are only issues if you are a social climber or almish. However with clever and witty writing oozing from the pages, good characters and well written love stories, Pride and Prejudice is an easy 4.5/5 stars. @Ace of the Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board This is a novel you can read over and over again and never get bored with. Elizabeth Bennet the protagonist of the novel is a timeless classic character who was the second daughter in the Bennet family with a really strong-willed and intelligent disposition. She was one of the most well-known female characters in English literature. I believe everyone who reads this novel will fall in love with this beautiful love story worth reading. @janmorrow1225 of the Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board
