I watched the PBS special and decided to read the book. It covers all the studies shown in the special. The book is good as a guide for how to do the fast, not very good on recipes. There were personal tips on how to push past "hunger." I put it in quotes because many people tend to eat because they think they're hungry when really they are eating for another reason (bored, etc).
