Brooke and Kathryn used to be best friends but now they're enemies. They come from opposite ends of the school's social spectrum. Brooke is rich and popular, Kathryn is neither. They both have only one thing in common and that is their love of music. Both of them are great singers and they have to compete against each other to win the Blackmore, a prestigious music competition that comes with a college scholarship, something Kathryn desperately needs. The book alters between their senior year and their junior year, how they met and why they both became enemies. I didn't think I would really enjoy this book but I definitely stand corrected. This was an amazing book and I recommend it to anyone who wants to read a novel about the importance of friendships. 5.5 stars. - @AquafinaAstro of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
