S'all good, man. The quality of the series is sustained in the low key, but pivotal fourth season with its hallmark - the realistic dialogue and actions of people reacting to stressful situations of their making. Unlike cheaply-written shows that resort to histrionics to create “drama”, Better Call Saul relies on the quiet drama of lives on potentially tragic trajectories, where an individual’s choices can lead to well-being or moral downfall. We have built a three season relationship with Jimmy, Mike, and Nacho. And because it’s a prequel, we know where these people are going; by the end of the season they are on course "in extremis" and can’t turn back. It’s fascinating, and heart-rending, to see how they got themselves there. Season 4 poignantly concludes with a contrast of Jimmy past and present. The episode opens with a happy flashback to Jimmy and Chuck as caring brothers, and concludes with Jimmy’s fraternal rejection of Chuck and his cynical use of Chuck’s stature in the legal community to get what he wants. S’all not so good, Jimmy.

Best show on television today - hands down! Better than, I dare say, Breaking Bad! Bb was excellent, but for me, this is half a notch above it. Both awesome! Viva Bob Odenkirk!

I lost count of how many times I fell asleep and didn't care to go back to catch up or how many times I had to mute it bcs of the loud, annoying music and noise. Season four is stretching this story with so much NOTHING but walking, brushing teeth, driving, thinking, batting at fly's that each disc is more boring than the previous. A lot of foreign speaking in Spanish and German, too bored to read it. WTH, the people that put this whole thing together did it right for 3 seasons and then blew it in season 4 like they lost their brains. Waste of time.

The series is losing a little steam but is still worth the watch

If this was the first season then there would never have been a fourth, in my opinion.
But still there were moments very worthwhile and a few more pieces of the puzzle offered.

The pre-BB characters who run parallel existence with Walt/Jesse/Skyler are by and large established after this season. The groundwork is, literally, near completion in the hour long finale. In this series, enjoy the very special relationship between Jimmy & Kim, social inequality that drives Jimmy's BB law practice ... drug cartel violence, led by the cousins who wear those Skull Boot Tips.

One of the few TV shows that is kept up for all seasons in wikiquote. This one summarizes how Jimmy became the "shady" lawyer as Saul Goodman in BB - Part 1 of 2:

You were never gonna get it. They... They dangle these things in front of you. They tell you, you got a chance, but I'm sorry it's a lie because they had already made up their mind and they knew what they were gonna do before you walked in the door. You made a mistake, and they are never forgetting it.
As far as they're concerned, your mistake is just it's who you are, and it's all you are. And I'm not just talking about the scholarship here. I'm talking about everything. I mean, they'll smile at you, they'll pat you on the head, but they are never, ever letting you in.

This one summarizes how Jimmy became the "shady" lawyer as Saul Goodman in BB - Part 2 of 2:

But listen. Listen. It doesn't matter. It doesn't because you don't need them. They're not gonna give it to you? So what? You're gonna take it. You're gonna do whatever it takes. Do you hear me? You are not gonna play by the rules. You're gonna go your own way. You're gonna do what they won't do. You're gonna be smart. You are gonna cut corners, and you are gonna win. They're on the 35th floor? You're gonna be on the 50th floor. You're gonna be looking down on them. And the higher you rise, the more they're gonna hate you. Good. Good. You rub their noses in it. You make them suffer. You don't matter all that much to them. So what? So what? Screw them. Remember the winner takes it all.
