Bad words, and killing, not a family film but does have a twist at the end.

Judging by the comments, this seems to be a movie that some people like , some do not. I did not.

A bit too full of itself for its own good. First, it's too long by at least 30 minutes. Long, boring stretches of nothing of value or, worse, cliched crap. Cut out the entire family/divorce subplot. It adds nothing. Second, the ending is an obvious add-on surprise as there were virtually NO CLUES to this outcome (apparently, the ending was reshot entirely). Make sure your remote's batteries are fully charged so you can fast forward through vast tracts of this film.

After watching about ten minutes of violent gunfire, in the dark, and having no idea who was shooting at who, nor did I care, this got ejected and rejected.

Great movie, you might have to rewind and watch section of the movie to get all the details of twist and turn and the connection to the master minds of the thieves. Looking forward to the next installment, Den of Thieves 2.

Overlooking the realities of some scenes (collateral damage in the big shootout being one), an entertaining heist film all-in-all. Found myself rooting for the bad guys..

What a good movie, it was very entertaining. It is a movie with twits and turns that require a viewer to pay close attention for full entertainment. This may be why some people did not like it had to stay focused for a couple of hours but we found it easy and the time went fast. This is one we may watch again. Found the ending surprising.

So, another movie plot that wasn't. Take all your favorite scenes from heist and bad cop movies of the last 40 years, put them on a story board, run a thin line of plot to connect them and you have a movie (that sucks). Misogynist, racist, throws in a Hawaiian for a new ethnic group to stereotype, some naked women to abuse, and testosterone fests interspersed with gun battles and explosions. just nothing new and no story.

Switched off after 20 minutes, what a load of horse dung. So unbelievable plot with rogue sheriff, life is too short to waste on this movie.

Interesting bank robbery statistics, especially in and around the smaller communities south of LA. An intense gritty police crime drama pegging two professional men only teams led by their alpha males on either side of the law. The alternate ending in Special features seemed to show that the writers and director had struggled to make the plot’s twist more natural and believable. A good effort to reimagine the 1995 Robert De Niro/Al Pacino “Heat” but with the force fitted twist.

Spoilers Alert and only a single quote in IMDb as of this morning, slim picking:
Opening screenshot -- Which city, might you ask; well, it’s a place where 2400 times a year. 44 times a week. 9 times a day. Every 48 minutes. A bank is robbed here. The bank robbery capital of the world, otherwise known as Los Angeles, California.
===
AP rounds blasted through the windshield took him out. They took the truck, Gardena police lost them under Hawthorne Municipal. They knew the route. Picked it because it was next to Municipal Airport, knew the restricted air space meant no ghetto bird air support. We're dealing with a different animal here, boys.

Yeah, there also is a lot of shady cats in here, huh?
-Yeah, it's kind of neutral grounds, you know? Rick's in Casablanca type shit.

Sort of like a gang, only we have badges, which means you are done.
===
You know what that is? It's the bank for banks. Los Angeles branch of the Federal Reserve. It's the only bank that's never been robbed. All the surrounding streets are wired for sound and image. Stand across the street and stare at the building for two minutes, you'll have security on your ass asking you politely to leave. If they see your face again, every Secret Service agent in the country is going to be looking for you. The place is case-proof. There have been 53 break-in attempts. Not one has got past the lobby. That's why we're going to rob it.

Central Security, it's the nerve center for the Fed. This is where the armored cars come in, drop off the money tubs. Money tubs are handed off to the Fed employees. At any one time, there's anywhere between 500 and 800 billion dollars in there, every millimeter of it covered by cameras, sensors, and motion detectors.
===
But there's a hitch. The serial number of every bill is recorded in the Fed's database. So, if a note goes missing, they're going to know exactly which one it is. They're going to flag it. If that bill comes up again, whoever recirculates that cash, no matter where they are in the world, that person can be tracked.

Every time the Fed receives a deposit from a bank, first thing they do is send that money up to the count rooms. They run the notes through the counting machines. They're accomplishing two things here. First, they're double-checking the accuracy of the bank's deposit. If the bank is off at all, they're going to credit or debit the account accordingly. Two, they're separating newer, fit currency from old unfit bills. But most importantly, they're erasing the serial numbers of the old bills from the Fed system. … In the $100 count room alone, an average of $30 million is designated as unfit every day.
