The steady decline of Doctor Who is sad, really... I like Peter Capaldi, but the writing is nowhere near as good as it should be. I'm not looking forward to the new season, if this is an indication of where it's heading.

I Really Wanted To See This New Doctor Who But It Is Going To Be So Sad That Peter.C Will Not Be In The Doctor's Who Anymore but there is going to be A New Female Doctor Which Is Going To Be Really Good

Just did not make since much of the time. I marvel at how the BBC can make movies using very little. Not a very good work.

A good story to finish the Twelfth Doctor's (Peter Capaldi) run. The story is fairly good, there's not too much depth, but it is a Christmas special. Featuring David Bradley taking over the role of the First Doctor from the late William Hartnell, there were a few places where writer Steven Moffat portrayed the First Doctor as uncharacteristically sexist, but as we get further in, that dissipates and the ending is rather a tear-jerker (I daren't say any more for fear of spoilers). The regeneration was done well and leaves us on a bit of a cliffhanger. It's going to be hard waiting till October for the next season.

Good ending story for this doctor's run.

Rated 6/10. Definitely the better Christmas special that's been made in a long time. Although, I found the storyline rather vague.

The absolute best part of this episode was David Bradley playing the "original doctor" (William Hartnell). He was excellent!

I found the latter regeneration scenes for Capaldi rather tedious. Stop yakking and get on with it!

In regards to Jodie Whittaker, I have reservations that she is the right female actress to play the latest doctor incarnation. Hopefully, she will do a better job than she did in Broadchurch.

Rather, I'm thinking of someone like Mary Tamm (Romanna 1) or Kate O'Mara (The Rani) that would play stronger leads.
