Even though I've never really been much of a Yes fan (especially Yes in the latter 1970s, and beyond), I must say that their first few albums (like The Yes Album) were actually quite good.

In their heyday Yes's music could be categorized into the pop music sub-genre of symphonic, art rock. Their compositions were often quite lengthy and consisted of very complex instrumental and vocal arrangements. These long-playing tunes sometimes showed clear signs of unusual insight and imagination.

Originally headlined by Jon Anderson (vocals), Chris Squire (bass), and Steve Howe (guitars), Yes (along with Pink Floyd, Genesis, and Emerson, Lake & Palmer) were British imports who (in the early 1970s) reigned supreme with fans of progressive rock.

The Yes Album CD contains all six original tracks from the 1971 lp, plus 3 remixes. 2 of my favourite tunes are Yours Is No Disgrace and I've Seen all Good People.
