SummaryAdd a Summary
Very intense film, almost documentary style, fast paced, emotionally charged issues- family disfunction, fractured families, unresolved generational issues, repressed parental / child anger... bullying, stereotype, gang mentality, racism, lack of positive role models and outlets for teens and young adults.. Could be any culture, but just happens to take place in modern Germany.
Filled with charged issues, excellent acting, storytelling, filmimg and action.
Youngsters with strong needs and emotions, typical teenage story: not getting what they need from family, looking to belong, looking for "love". One very intelligent young girl gets seduced by the "family" "fun" and rebellious activities of a group of kids, she later find out is a radical and violent racially motivated hate group / gang.
Another young girl has been a part of this group for years (comes from a broken and angry home) is very detached from true deep emotions, compassion, etc. She runs two young foreign boys off the road, and later thinks she killed them, and starts questionong her life, loyalty to het grandfather and her actions.
She shelters the young boy and tries to help him, and ends up dying for taking revenge on the man who beat him up.
A very raw look at these serious issues that are destroying young people's lives all over the world.
Excellent. Tough to watch, but enlightening.
