I was drawn in immediately to this fantasy story of a young reluctant hero finding strength and courage to save his family. It’s fantastic storytelling and Larwood has excellent skills in developing character and world-building in this anthropomorphic rabbit environment. The two-page black & white illustrations (there are 8) and a map are a perfect match and add appeal. Ages 8-12 (read aloud ages 6-8). Some mild violence.
