In Raising Trump , Ivana Trump reflects on her extraordinary life and the raising of her three children--Donald Jr., Eric, and Ivanka--and recounts the lessons she taught her children as they were growing up.

As her former husband takes his place as the 45th President of the United States, his children have also been thrust into the media spotlight--but it is Ivana who raised them and proudly instilled in them what she believes to be the most important life lessons: loyalty, honesty, integrity, and drive. Raising Trump is a non-partisan, non-political book about motherhood, strength, and resilience. Though Ivana writes about her childhood in communist Czechoslovakia, her escape from the regime and relocation to New York, her whirlwind romance, and her great success as a businesswoman, the focus of the book is devoted to Ivana's raising of her children. Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and Ivanka Trump will all contribute their own memories to the book.

"Every day, people ask me how I raised such great kids. They are truly amazed when I tell them that there was no magic to their upbringing. I was a tough and loving mother who taught them the value of a dollar, not to lie, cheat, or steal, respect for others, and other life lessons that I'll share now in Raising Trump , along with unfiltered personal stories about Don, Eric, and Ivanka from their early childhood to becoming the 'first sons and daughter.'" --Ivana Trump

I remain as unsympathetic as ever to the Trump Dilemma.

A rare inside view of a privileged lifestyle afforded Ivana and the Trump children by their wealthy husband and father. The young Trumps had a strict upbringing directed by their mother. She established, not to be contested, boundaries and schedules. She developed a unique education program for each child based on their abilities, interests and personalities. She insisted on proper social skills and manners and gave them specific roles in entertaining the guests who came to parties at Trump Tower.

After college, Ivana turned each of them over to their father who set them up in real estate development positions in the family business that operated on the world scene.

To her credit, 1) Ivana worked her way up and out of a communist country through high performance in education and sports, 2) collaborated directly in the building of the Trump Empire as an officer and 3) established her own world-class business enterprises after a nasty, public divorce from Donald Trump who had been unfaithful. After Donald, she had fun with a number of young Italian boyfriends, whom she married or entertained in her luxury homes and on her yacht named "My Ivana". The writing is fair and the story interesting.

None of them will need to worry about getting health insurance.

Interesting read. The author is definitely a Type A person living a jet-setter life. I think that she is looking at alot of things through "rose-colored glasses. Her children had opportunities to do things that most children would not even have a chance to have. I do respect her idea that they not have anything and everything they wanted just because she could give it to them. They learned some things have to be earned. She and her children have not had to deal with some things that regular people face every day. I doubt that any of them had huge student loans after they graduated.
