Great series for kids. And a good one for the parents to read as well. A few laugh out loud moments, not quite as many as my kids, but I did enjoy the book.

In the Long Haul, the main character is Greg Heffley. In this book, he is on Summer break. His mom is trying to learn Spanish. Greg's dad has a boat that his family will take on their trip.
Greg's family sleeps in a hotel, but Greg gets awaken by lots of noise. Greg yells at the kid and the kid's father comes out, but Greg gets away.
Tomorrow morning Greg's family went to a county fair. On the way there, they see the Beardos in the car in front of them. Greg made faces at them.
I thought this was an amazing book to read. It's like everything can be fun. They always have adventure.

The main character is Greg Heffley. He is on summer vacation and doesn't worry until his Mom says that she has to go with his aunt. But then she says she was just kidding and they are really going to Disneyland. But then Manie (Greg's little brother) cries because he really wanted to go see their aunt. So, they don't go to Disneyland and everything goes wrong. They get into a fenderbender, a seagull storm, and an exploding cinnamon roll that Rodrick thought looks like his brains. Everything.

My favorite part was when they got a pig. Yes, they got a pig. I like this book because it tells about things that would probably not really happen.

The 'Wimpy Kid" series is definitely my guilty pleasure. I'm an eighteen year old girl and I'm about to head off to college, so I DEFINITELY should be long grown out of these. Yet I find myself getting so excited when I see a new one on the shelf. I read this particular one on an airplane and finished it in one sitting. This was one of the best ones. The Heffleys experience, pretty much, a vacation from Hell, where everything that could go wrong, does. This book didn't disappoint in the slightest and I can't wait to read the next one!

A family road trip is supposed to be a lot of fun . . . unless, of course, you're the Heffleys. The journey starts off full of promise, then quickly takes several wrong turns. Gas station bathrooms, crazed seagulls, a fender bender, and a runaway pig--not exactly Greg Heffley's idea of a good time. But even the worst road trip can turn into an adventure--and this is one the Heffleys won't soon forget.
