I do not seek out Zombie movies, but I had seen two of the leads in another Korean film, "Silenced" that impressed me. In this movie a lot of Zombie lovers will be pleased with the special effects that make the Zombies scary that have to be dealt with courage and determination. I was more pleased with the human relations angle--a workaholic father having trouble relating to his young daughter and a couple expecting a baby. I also wanted to search out the music, particularly at the end credits, but was only able to find it on You Tube. If Zombies turn you off you might not enjoy it, but the story is well done. The two characters I followed from another movie were both very good, but as in the last movie they didn't really pair off and that was a bit of a disappointment as they seemed so natural in the previous movie.

My kids & I, we love a good zombie fest. And after just finishing a rough S03 of Fear the Walking Dead, we needed a lil something extra.
This zombie movie manages to pull off what The Walking Dead & Fear the Walking Dead can't do - pull those heart strings whilst still maintining a good story with great visuals.
I watched with my 10yr old & 16yr old.
This movie is great that it gives people of varying ages a character they're invested in.

It wasn't bad...
Only that it was sad

I normally don't like zombie movies, so I'm a poor critic here, and feel the zombie narrative encompasses the essence of predatory capitalism - - but this seemed like a pretty good z-movie, with an underlying social commentary. [The fund manager begins the movie as a purely self-centered creature, but his young daughter humanizes him along the way, while the CEO sacrificed - - exploited - - humans to ensure his own pathetic survival!]
The typical z-movie narrative posits that those infected are evil and bad, while the survivors are therefore good?
Reminded me of this morning's NPR broadcasst, where they interviewed some brainless twit from the Obama Administration [Wendy Cutler, who hearted the TPP] who blamed trade deficits on Americans who consume and don't save - - this was shortly followed by an advert for Kaiser-Permanente.
Reminded me of many years ago, working at a company which took a chunk out of our paychecks for their Kaiser-Permanent healthcare plan. Experiencing an ailment, I took an unpaid day's absence to go there for an examination. The following week, following their directive, I called for my test results and was told to call the following week. Calling again and again over the following weeks, they finally admitted that they'd lost those test results!?
So I took another unpaid day's absence and again paid for gas to travel for another examination, and again called the next week and again was put off and kept calling for weeks to come, until again being told my test results had been lost.
Shortly thereafter, we were all laid off from this company and our jobs were offshored; this would be the first of 27 jobs I was laid off from and the job subsequently offshored, which depleted my savings while seeking employment and surviving economically.
Gee whiz, but I believe I know why many Americans have little to no savings!!!

Awesome, edge-of-your seat Zombie Thriller!

This is probably one of the best and most original zombie film I have seen in years.

I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, I had a lot of emotions going on at once while I watched the film(I even managed to cry a couple of times because some of those scenes just really hit me right in the feels.)

I loved the special effects for the zombies, their speed, the way they moved, that was probably my favorite thing from the film just how amazingly awesome those zombies looked.

One of the better films of this genre. Action packed with character development. Full range of emotions for this one. Well done. A roller coaster ride that never lets up.

Too much horror in this movie without consolation.
Not recommended at all for any age.

Region 3 requires multi region DVD players or play via a PC. I watched the BR version:

Other libraries also have this title which I suspect is all Region disc:

Aloha 'Oe in English subtitle, Song that Su-an sings in the tunnel at the end:

Proudly swept the rain by the cliffs
As it glided through the trees
Still following ever the bud
The `ahihi lehua of the vale

Farewell to you, farewell to you
The charming one who dwells in the shaded bowers
One fond embrace,
‘Ere I depart
Until we meet again

Sweet memories come back to me
Bringing fresh remembrances
Of the past
Dearest one, yes, you are mine own
From you, true love shall never depart

I have seen and watched your loveliness
The sweet rose of Maunawili
And ’tis there the birds of love dwell
And sip the honey from your lips

Busan. I want to see mommy.
-I told you, another time, okay?
No. tomorrow. You always say next time, and lie to me.
It's a crucial period right now.
-Sure. You know best. She was disappointed that you weren't at the recital. It's a crucial period for her too.
Su-an, you didn't have to do that.
-Do what?
Be so good. At a time like this, only watch out for yourself.
He's a fund manager.
-Fund manager?
-So he's a bloodsucker. He leeches off others.
We have to uncouple it and go to Busan.
-We can't!
Why not?!
-It can't be done here.
We've got to go!
-No! My friends aren't here yet!
Those on board must survive!
I bet you never got to play with your daughter. When she gets older, she'll understand why you worked so hard. Dads get all the shxt, and no praise. But it's all about sacrifice, right?
I practiced that song just for you. That's why I couldn't sing. Because I didn't see you.
