Love this series, and I agree with the comment that this is one of the best seasons. Good amount of humor, which makes up a bit for the overwhelming violence. But since the enemy is always a robot, the destruction isn't so cringe-producing. And yes, I normally don't even notice the artwork in animation, but I love this artwork. Beautiful and evocative. Be sure to really listen to the music: it just makes each episode.

One of the best seasons! The last 4 episodes + the one with the Scottish warrior are especially very entertaining. It should be mentioned that episode 25 (the second-to-last one showing Spartans) won an Emmy, and it really is pretty epic stuff. Great artwork and awesome action! Btw, in the "special features" section of the second disk, I'd highly recommend watching the episode pitch thing, it's very entertaining, and gives you a glimpse of what it's like to work on the art, screenplay, and storyboard team.

Simple looking but beautiful artwork. The show's a bit boring though, with Aku and some of the guest characters making only a few of the episodes interesting.
