This is the third Linda LeGarde Grover book that I've read, and it is my new favorite. It's a quick read, but, like her other writings, it is very intense. Prepare to have your heart broken over and over again as you read poems on topics like boarding schools, alcoholism, and cultural appropriation. But know that your heart will also be healed by poems on topics like spirituality, family, and reclaiming the Ojibwe language.
