I thoroughly enjoyed reading this, especially the element of tension coming from Jae being the only person who can save the world, but not wanting it saved. A very gripping read, with well developed characters and genuine relationships, pleasing my fantasy loving heart. Looking forward to reading the next book!

Dira Sudis says on her tumbler "People who enjoy my slavefic (or slavefic-type scenarios in general) and also CRYING ABOUT PEOPLE WHO DON’T EXIST (possibly the venn diagram of those two sets is a circle?) and also thinky fantasy about inherited privilege and perpetuating oppression and/or defying it and redemption and love and DID I MENTION THE CRYING…

should definitely go read Bound by Blood and Sand by Becky Allen."
