"Fiona Carson (divorced, devoted to her two college-aged kids) and Marshall Weston (overextended by keeping his wife and his mistress -- and their kids -- apart) have very little in common. The only thing they share is their title: they're both high-powered, respected CEOs, though their business practices are as different as their private lives. Power Play works as a character study of the differences between the two executives, but it's also filled with drama, as Marshall's poor choices threaten to unravel everything he's ever worked for." In "Power Play" Danielle Steel handles the topic of Power in the corporate world and what it does to men versus women. Fiona shows herself capable of handling the power in her role as an important CEO when right in the beginning she has to fire someone. "How dare you!" she rages angrily and "this time the power was hers. Truth was a mighty sword." Marshall Weston too is a CEO but he handles his power differently. I would end up being a plot-buster if I said anymore so I'll just say, "Read all about it!"

Good read, but Steel is getting too predictable. Within pages I had already guessed the way it would go.

After a long time Ms. Steel has written a good book. It is enjoyable and it feels like she is back.
