5th trip to Alaska in past 10 months and I have always carried a guide book for a reference with me.
I love Fodor's guide books, and this one is no exception, however, i do notice that there is a lack of camping suggestions (as compared to Lonely Planet's Alaska).
This guide book is nicely organized, and there is plenty of tourist attractions mentioned, with places to eat and sleep. And i love how colorful and shiny the pages are. But once again, if you are a budget traveler, looking for some camping ideas in Chugach State Park or Kenai NP like i am, try reading through Lonely Planet's guide on Alaska.
And note, that even though this is an updated edition, some entrance fees are not up-to-date, so always check the websites or call in.
Enjoy your trip
