Not for beginners. i liked the sequences and some pose-variations but Stiles' instructions for poses are very superficial and demanding, "insert left foot in right ear, hold for five breaths." Most of us do not come to yoga after a decade of ballet training and need a little more guidance.

The long and short of this is that you can judge this book by it's cover.

Tara's history of ballet is visible in her flawless lines and execution of a wide range of yoga poses...and that's it.

That is the surface and the work does not offer much else.

It comes off as a thick magazine, or it might serve as a beautiful coffee table book to be flipped through, but for the private instructor to Deepak Chopra I was expecting more depth.

Tara flirts with a few sexy topics, but does not range far into the subject, or any subject. If she is saving that for a second book, she fails to set the hook enough in this one to warrant another look, that is if you are not already a Tara Stiles fan.

I would recommend sticking with her wonderful podcasts yoga moments and videos. Tara has a voice for teaching yoga, and her poise and grace is a fluid interpretation of mindfulness in motion.

Just okay.
