Okay, I admit there's a bit of Vietnamese-Western fusion with some these banh mi fillings. However, the recipes for chai sui (bbq pork), spring rolls, egg rolls, and desserts are quite authentic. I made the chai sui pork and it's the best recipe I've come across in years.
Being Vietnamese, I know what type of Vietnamese banh mi there are, what they taste like, what they look like... This book represents none of the above. Definitely all wrong about banh mi. Sad, F-
