This such an amazing series to read over the summer. I plan on reading this book again because i loved it so much. The author is a total genuis and this is one of my favorite books to read. It is so dramitic but a little violent and is so intense and intruiging. All of Marie Lu's books are great but this is one of my favorites!!!!!!

This book absolutely made me jump out of my skin with amazement, yeah? (Only people who have read this novel will understand my joke) Yup, it was THAT good. Two teens who could have been fraternal twins, they were so alike, but were born into absolute different worlds (not literally), had always been taught to hate each other. Then, one of them was accused of murdering the other's brother and they start to understand how dire the real situation is. They must fight hard for what they believe in and they must be prepared to lose everything. Outstanding. You MUST read this.

This book was quite slow to start. At the beginning, I was a bit confused by the story line but as it developed I began to enjoy it more and more. I loved the character interaction and the way they dealt with different situations.

I really loved this book! There was lots of action, excitement, and definitely tension. But a lot of people seemed to betray each other which was kind of sad, but a great read!

OMG! OMG! OMG!
I just finished reading this for battle of the books. It blew my mind. Why would Thomas kill one of his best friends? There is something mentally wrong with that guy.

I enjoyed this quite a bit, and likely would have enjoyed it even more had I not already read so. many. teen dystopias. But the good news is: I think this one is better than most of them! It's got two interesting, likable main characters, and I think the use of alternating first person narration is well-employed, and I like that Lu doesn't do a huge info dump regarding the backstory of the world of the story, instead doling out bits and pieces of information as necessary. The romance felt a bit rushed to me, but I'm left intrigued to read more of June and Day's story. Hunger Games fans looking for a similar read would probably fare better with this than with most of the other popular options out there.

This book is about a 15 year old girl who tried to find out who murdered his brother Ian. She finds out that a boy named Day, was the one who killed his brother. Or did Day kill his brother? Find out for yourself if he is innocent, or if he is a murderer.

If you really like action, this book is for you. This book is really interesting, with lots of action and more. If you do really like it, there will be another book coming out named Prodigy. If you like The Stormbreaker, then you will LOVE this. I don’t want to spoil anymore, so have fun with this comic.

What's special about this book you might ask, well, it has 3 categories or genres.

Action 2. Emotion 3. Romance

When you read through this comic, you will find that action is harder than you think, emotion for you to feel and romance could be one of your talents with girls/boys, if you are very confident.

I am very pleased with this book even though the suspense threw me off the top a few times. It has characters with Asian backgrounds! And it's just a regular book written in a non-Asian country! I was actually thinking bout the lack of Asian influence in media when I started reading this, so I was actually so excited as I read along. It is good to see that people are still interested in books even if they aren't filled with the classical Caucasian protagonists. The whole romance is predictable, yet real. I felt like I was truly watching this book play through my head like a movie... it was just too good! 5/5 stars

June and Day are 15 years old and living in The Republic, which is at war with the Patriots and the Colonies. June is a prodigy with a perfect score on her trial, and is on her way to becoming a wealthy soldier, even though she likes to cause a bit of trouble. Day on the other hand failed his trial, and he lives on the street with a girl named Tess as one of the most "annoying" criminals. Their lives have no reason to cross, until June's older brother is killed and Day becomes the prime suspect in the case. June is given the mission of hunting Day down. But, when June finally meets Day, the situation takes a different turn, and they uncover the truth of who really killed June's brother, and to what lengths the republic will go to in order to keep it's secrets.

Legend tells the story of a two remarkable 15-year-olds, Day and June, living on West cost of the United States now known as The Republic. This book instantly reminded me of Aladdin because Day is from a very poor area of The Republic and steals from the rich to help out his family and community. June on the other hand, has grown up in one of the wealthiest areas and has everything she could ask for and a secure future. Their paths suddenly cross after June's brother is murdered during a hospital break-in attempt by Day. The Republic's military uses June's thirst for revenge and has her track Day and bring him to justice. However, June soon finds out her safe world has not been what it appeared to be at all.

In 2130, the Republic rules the western part of post-apocalyptic America and grooms their most promising young into soldiers. One of their elite is fifteen-year-old June, a military prodigy and the only person to score a perfect 1500 at the Trials. On the opposite side of town, fifteen-year-old Day lives on the streets and fights injustice on his own terms. His remarkable ability to make the Republic look bad has landed him on the Republic’s most wanted list. When a new strain of the plague appears, Day’s brother is infected and his family is quarantined. Since only the privileged can afford the luxury of medicine, Day’s family has no choice but to let the plague take its course. In a desperate attempt to secure a vial of the vaccine for his younger brother, Day breaks into the laboratory at the local hospital. However, things go terrible wrong and Day is pursued by Republic Captain Iparis, June’s brother. When Captain Iparis is found dead, Day is the prime suspect. Vowing to bring her brother’s killer to justice, June plans a covert operation to flush out Day. While undercover, June meets a mysterious young man who saves her from an enraged mob of gamblers. As she discovers his true identity and the Republic’s dark secrets, June must make a decision that will change her life forever.
