Add a CommentI LOVED Betty Goes Bananas! This is a great book that teaches parents how to deal with babies and toddlers that are going through the temper tantrum stage. Betty learns that sometimes trying to do things yourself doesn't always go as planned. So much fun!
Fun to read as long as you're in an environment where you can be a bit loud and crazy as Betty throws her tantrums. My three year old asked why she was acting like that so it let us talk about his tantrums too (though his first answer to "who else does that?" was his brother! :-) ) Very short story and the moral is not subtle.
This is a funny book that shows how ridiculous a tantrum can be. Betty is not quite getting things the way that she wants and keeps having meltdowns. With my two young children, we were able to talk about how sometimes they do similar things and make light of it. We have even turned upset around since reading the book by bringing up Betty. We have enjoyed it.
This book was funny.
