This book is extremely inappropriate for children. It is deceptive and does not tell how a child doesnt need to change his her gender to be loved.....young children are naturally confused at times. It is the parents job to train up their children in the way they should go...not the school. A young child cannot possibly know their sexuality unless they are being told this. There is such a thing as feminine males....and butch females...its okay ...we dont need to change cause society is now telling us we have issues....behappy with who God made you to be.

This book is appropriate for any age, eloquent in its simplicity, and a wonderful introduction into the world of transgender people.

An honest and heartwarming picture book, told in a way that children can understand, about self discovery.

A sensitive and straightforward telling of the story of Jazz Jennings, a young boy who, with the support of his family and doctor, finds that he can live most happily and honestly as a girl. Excellent choice for a child facing a similar experience or those who want to better understand friends who are transgender.

I am so inspired by you. You are a great role model to young people. You are strong person to be dealing with so much. I watch your shows all the time on TLC. #_TEAMJAZZ

I saw Jazz in a video and thought she was mature, confident, well-spoken, and admirable. Her book does an excellent job of telling children her story of recognizing and accepting herself and helping others (her parents first) to do the same. This book is easy to read, pretty easy to understand. I do see some people wanting to have the book banned from school libraries, but I truly think this book should be in them, and available to all children to help them/us understand the many different kinds of lives in the world.
