Blanco's memoir is an emotional account of his youth that is punctuated with comical antidotes that are universal for all readers despite their personal, cultural context. Overall, a very enjoyable read.

Great read. The fact that Blanco's also a poet comes across in his writing. There are also some fun anecdotes that make reading this even more enjoyable.
