This book covers equipment needs (and includes instructions on how to make your own spindle and spinning wheel), fiber types and how to dye them, spinning, finishing and more. There are lots of beautiful pictures of yarns, dyes, projects and more.
This is one I'll likely purchase when I decide to delve further into dyeing and spinning.

Beautiful AND helpful. If you are new to the fiber arts world, you can find a lot to learn from. She discusses different fibers, dyeing methods, shows you how to make a basic drop spindle and if you are even more ambitious, how to build your very own spinning wheel. If you have been spinning your own yarn for a while, it's still a lot of fun to look at--she uses gorgeous color combinations and you almost want to just reach in and touch her finished yarns. This is a book which I liked so much that I checked it out several times and then said "The heck with it" and bought my own copy.
