This is not the best British comedy out there, but there are some parts of it that were mildly amusing. I did appreciate the appearance of Walliams, Spall and Saunders though; therefore my rating went up a star because of it. The pig was a bit amusing too. I would say that although this series did not make me laugh out loud, I did grin occasionally. If you were to watch it, I recommend that you put on the English captions. I do this sometimes, particularly if the slang is foreign to me or the accents too harsh to understand.

Fascinating but painful for those who like the gentle zaniness and clever wordplay of Wodehouse. The anachronistic music is an unpleasant distraction, but the injection of toilet humor and overdrawn buffoonery is worse. Some glimmers of PGW's original plots and characters remain, and it's interesting to see some familiar BBC actors twist themselves into the script. But, no, this does not capture the appeal of the original material.
