This is the last book in Donovan's "Dog Owner's" series, and the best. I have to admit, when I first started reading the series, I thought the premise was a bit wonky. However, this last installment reminds me of Donovan's comedic writing chops. Eli Gallagher is a much sought after dog whisperer, and Roxy is a gal that's emotionally battered and bitter from her failed engagement. Lots of plot mayhem in this one, and multiple character arcs which make this one of Donovan's best works. Both Roxy's and her dog Lilith's transformation is nothing short of extraordinary. Great plot twist at the end.

This was a very light read but most enjoyable. Had a few happy tears towards at the end.

Well I read this book because the girl on the cover is wearing a purple dress and purple is my favorite color. I know, you're not supposed to judge a book by it's cover but in this case it worked! I loved this book. Although it is pretty detailed when it comes to sex, it was a different story line. Usually when I read romances it's always the same plot. Boy meets girl, boy falls in love, boy wins girl over, boy and girl live happily ever after. Not this book. There's twists and turns and it keeps your interest right up to the last page. I think I may have found a new author to add to my list of favorites!
