Some really good songs, but some just blah. Wish there were more of the great ones the whole album through.
So, so disappointing! Her style must have changed. The first album I can't get enough of, this one I won't listen to again.
Excellent album, well worth the wait, from this relatively new Canadian singer-songwriter. // Good mix of melancholy/upbeat songs. // Arrangements and vocals on some tracks bring Adele and Amy Winehouse to mind.
Soulful and jazzy, this toe-tapping album is filled with goodies, but the hit single "Stompa" is my favourite. Slightly different to the radio edit, the album version is still delightful and has a jailbird hymn quality to it that is almost indescribable. Sway-worthy, Ryder's HARMONY is a lovely little album, not washed up by autotune, cranked-up interference, and electronic machines. There's something refreshing about hearing pure music in this digital day and age, and, if you agree, this album is the refreshment you need.
You won't be able to help tapping your toes and singing along to Ryder's soulful melodies. It is great to drive to.
I just had to add a video.
