Willard Mullin's Golden Age Of Baseball collects Mullin's best drawings devoted to baseball for the first time - depictions of players like Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, Yogi Berra and Sandy Koufax. Also featuring are legendary managers like Cast Stengel and George Steinbrenner, as well as events like Lou Gehrig's emotional retirement speech on July 4, 1939. Mullin's fluid line and delicate but vigorous brushwork are shown to beautiful effect, with many drawings reproduced from original art.

Not just a cartoonist but also a fantastic artist.
His daughter has been my friend since 1974. Shirley remembers her father always sitting down in his easy chair with his drawing board producing his cartoons with such ease.
Wonderfully put together book.

Absolute fun to read. Willard Mullard's cartoons were insightful and entertaining. They give us a great picture of the baseball players, managers and the events occurring in those times (1930s - 1970s). This work is a must read for baseball fans and historians. Seelochan Beharry
