This video covered some of the Taiwanese cuisine from the Taipei 101 restaurant, night markets to aboriginal cooking. The variety was good, however Taiwan cuisine is so much more than organ meats, dim sum and szechuan style food. Some restaurants have you cook your own food on a grill at a table or in a soup pot at the table. They missed the food court at the bottom of Taipei 101 - which is amazing. The Taiwanese take their tea very seriously, a tea tasting in Ali Shan would have added to this video. Ice mountains were also missing. This video could have spent more time on food and less on political stuff (elections, land issues, composting) to be more focused.

Narration is in English but much of it is sub-titled. The disc publisher did not pay to have good television sub-titles put in - rather you get the poorly executed film sub-titling with the print size very small and a lot of white on white so the text is virtually invisible - very frustrating !

Some very interesting scenes and topics, heavy on the meat but also a vegetarian lecture part way through (by a Canadian buddhist nun).
