I love this series. Light and fluffy but with a tough core. Great characters, but you have to suspend reality a bit. However, the crimes are always real and reflective of that time. Helps if you've been to Melbourne and area.

This series is so fun and I find these stories to be educational as well. I know little of Australia and even less of Oz in the 20's. It's really fun to read about Phryne's clothes and habits and her lovers. LOVE this series

I love the Phryne Fisher mysteries, set in Melbourne Australiia in the 1920s. Kerry Greenwood's latest is, I think, her best yet. Greenwood manages to weave some interesting political philosophies with the adventures of an intrepid and independent female (Phryne) and create intriguing stories. Well done, Kerry!

Another wonderful book from Kerry Greenwood. After such a break between novels, it was fantastic to dive into the world of Phryne Fisher again, complete with historical figures and landmarks as well as the usual mix of quirky characters that you expect to find in a Miss Fisher novel. My only complaint is that I managed to devour it in 2 days, and may have to resort to re-reading older books in this series to keep my hunger satisfied.
