This book continues the comfortable group of characters begun in the first book in this series. It is an easy read and hard to put down. The ending leaves you with a contented feeling about life as we wish it would be.

I really enjoyed this book. The author provides the reader with an in-depth look at the Amish lifestyle. From the way they dress, think, and react to the 'English' world around them, Chapman's attention to detail in her writing showcases the strong sense of community and how their ways may sometimes conflict with the outside world. The characters are easy to become attached to, the setting is idyllic, and the plot, complete with flashback snippets, is engaging and puzzling to the end. Delightful story.

This is the second in the series of three books. Once all the books are done I can honestly say I am really going to miss the characters. Vannetta Chapman wrote them so real that you actually get a little attached to them. If you like Amish fiction you will like this series.
