This series is amazing! I read the entire book in 1 day, neglecting the rest of life. It is based off the Imperial and Expansionist eras of history, but I can decide if the main country is more British or French like. Either way, the author created a great world to read of, and he has a nice way of introducing the magic, politics, and warfare of the world.

Be warned there is a lot of cussing, for those who are offended by that.
