"Madeline Fathom had miraculously landed the crippled Nebula Storm on Europa. She joined on that frozen moon of Jupiter the stranded crewmembers of the ill-fated EU vessel Odin. The Nebula Storm's reactor was ruined in the landing, the Odin's shuttle can't make the trip back home, and the only vessel that could have make the journey to save them has just been destroyed by a renegade crewman, bad luck, and the remorseless forces of nature. But Madeline, Helen Sutter, A.J. Baker and the team have one card left to play. All they have to do... is survive lethal radiation, vacuum, and ice as hard as steel while they figure out how to make Nebula Storm fly again. But even as they prepare to make the journey home, Europa has one more discovery waiting for them... a discovery that might be the deadliest trap in the Solar System!"--Jacket flap.

Read the series. Very important to read them in order.
The adventure continues.

An old fashioned sci fi tale. While racing towards the possible remains of an alien outpost, two ships crash into Europa, moon of Jupiter. Now the remains of the two crews must work together to survive and eventually get home. Vaguely similar to the "flight of the phoenix", but in space. It turns out this was the last book of a series, but I couldn't really tell. Wonderful characters, really good suspense, plenty of scientific and pseudo-scientific explanations of things. I liked this book because it was about exploration, it gave me the sense of wonder and hope that old science fiction used to give us. (most sci fi today is obsessed with apocalyptic futures) I really enjoyed this book. Since the scientific stuff is pretty complex, it might turn younger minds off or bore them. But it was hard for me to put down.
