Callie loves theater. And she would totally try out for her middle school's production of Moon Over Mississippi, but she is a terrible singer. She has two new gay friend but they are brothers. she starts to have a crush on them, but then they turned out to be gay. At the end of the story she became the producer which is the leader.

Drama is a graphic novel written by Raina Telgemeier, an American cartoonist, which centers on the story of Callie, a middle schooler and theater-lover who works in her school's drama production crew. Callie loves the theater. And while she would totally try out for her middle school's production of Moon Over Mississippi, she's a terrible singer. Instead she's the set designer for the stage crew, and this year she's determined to create a set worthy of Broadway on a middle-school budget. I enjoyed reading this because it has a lot of characters that experience high school drama. I would recommend this to children 9 and up. The story feels true to junior high life-complicated, yet full of exuberance. Rating: 1/5 @PrettyKitty of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
Telgemeier totally nails the high school drama experience! From audition jitters to ambitious backstage plans to unexpected snafus during the shows, the whole experience is included in a delightful range of colors. Our main character Callie is a riot and it is great fun to follow her through the school year and show timeline. The twin brothers, Justin and Jesse, at times were difficult to tell apart in the illustrations. At times I was not sure which twin Callie was interacting with. Unlike Telgemeier's other graphic novels (Sisters, Smile, etc.), this is a YA graphic and does include a LGBT story line.
I've read better books before. This is not the best book ever nor is it the worst book ever. I wouldn't recommend this book to someone who is looking for a good book. I'd give this book a rating of 4.5/10.
Ok I love this book a lot, they kiss a lot tho, there is a boy that is gay and there is..... Drama!!!!!!
This is a wonderful book! I recommend this book to whoever likes romance and drama.
Raina Telgemeier is a great author!
I love this book soooooo much!!
And if you think being gay or lesbian or bisexual is a bad thing,
I don’t know what kind of life you live, but having feelings for the same sex is perfectly normal;
We’ve just been used to other things so it seems weird✌️
Anyway.....
GREAT book!!!🥳🥳
This book was very calm and fun because you never know what going to happen next and had lost of fun parts. It also, had a lot of drama. In conclusion this book was very fun to read.
