This series is detrimental to all hope. Just saying as a warning. I can't even say I've been betrayed, because Snicket continues to tell me to put this series down if I want to be cheered up.

Pretty intense. Big cliffhanger at the end. Sad ending as usual. Great story. Probably my favourite so far.

This is a great series! This book is amazing, too. I like how suspenseful it is. There was also betrayal and some death. The death is ok for kids because it doesn't go into detail. There was plot twists that kept you on the edge of your seat until the last word. This book is amazing and I like this one more than Book 1, 3, 4, 6, and 7. I haven't read 8 yet and I have it on hold. This one is very good and I would read it many more times! :)

It has suspense, a lot of emotion, mystery, and you love the characters even the villains!! ~Ella, age 10 1/2.

A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Carnivorous Carnival was a book filled with suspense and I enjoyed it very much. My favourite part was when the Baudelaires disguised themselves as freaks so they could join the carnival. My favourite character is Violet Baudelaire because she is an inventor, and is the oldest sibling, so I can relate to her.
