I love the books and the television series so much. Stefan and Damon are so hot in the show, but the show is so different from the book. Really the only thing that is the same in the books and show is that Damon and Stefan Salvatore are vampires, and Elena Gilbert has the same name as the character in the book, however Nina Dobrev is not blond, Caroline is one of her best friends, and Bonnie Bennett instead of McCollough is a witch with dark hair instead of red, and she's not psychic

Love elena

I can't explain why I continue reading these silly books. They're not as good as the Sookie Stackhouse books; they're more aligned with 'Twilight'. Sappy and cheesy, but quick and engrossing! I'm glad Damon got a little more plot in this one, even if he was possessed.

The author needs to take a workshop on consistency in perspective though...she flutters all over the place! I guess that's probably the mindset of a teenager though...

This wasn't the best book in the series and it was definitely weird, but it was still pretty good and you need to read it if you want to continue on to the next book which is way better than this one and just as good as the other books in the series. The book after this does start with Elana's diary entry (a long one) which gives a little background info of what happened in this book, but it's not the whole story. I recommend reading it so you can continue on with the rest of the series and know all that's going on. It's still better than a lot of books out there. Just because it's not the best in The Vampire Diaries series doesn't mean it's not good. It is definitely still really good.

I have never had an experience where I have liked a show better than the book. This author however has shown that not all books are better than there movies or series. I read three of her Vampire Diaries Series and truth be told I will not read another.

I really liked this book, like I was obbsessive and I was waiting for it to come out so I could buy it. I couldn't put it down! Although I was thinking "Does Elena ever officially die?" like she was a human, than a vampire, than a ghost, and now an angel/ human that came back form the afterlife. Seriously like if your going to kill her like four times could you make it so that it's for good? (unless she's a vampire)
