Rich Louv is a writer--on a wide variety of topics, including the joys of fishing--who is way ahead of pretty much everyone else. He laid groundwork for America II in the very early 1980s as a newspaper series, outlining the radically changing shape and function of American metropolitan areas before almost anyone else apparently noticed, or at least noted. His Last Child in the Woods was an instant, best-selling classic, stimulating the creation of hundreds of programs nationwide to introduce children to the wonders of our natural world.
The Nature Principle is a companion piece of Last Child for adults. And do we need it in these stressful times! Especially if you are feeling unsettled about your life right now, this book might really help.

Louv is making a living out of writing about "living green" or some such. He really has little of substance to add to what he's written before, but seems to pompously add more hot air than substance. His devotion to matters spiritual has grown and thus undermines his effort to render a scientific cast to his "wisdom".

Enjoyed this book. Uses published research and common sense to explain concepts. I get more frustrated with what we (especially ME) are doing to the planet all the time.
