This is Gardner's Best Book.

I like Lisa Gardner a lot but thought this was the weakest of her novels. She weaves a good mystery usually, with lots of surprises. This one was VERY dark and had a whimpy ending..."everyone in this black story lives happily ever after"! I recommend others by her. This one...not so much!

With out question, The Best Lisa Gardner book that I have read. Its a shame the ending wasn't all that great. But definitely worth the read.

Thriller about the murder suicides of two different families and the detective who tries to figure out whose done it. The clues lead them to a psych ward and a nurse who works there, and of a kid who has stabbed his mother being treated there. The story also lends itself to a self help guru who unbenownst to them had been treating the families by convincing them to eliminate the negative energy in their lives or "darkness" and let the "light" in. The story didn't work for me- I guess too much esp and such. Good straight-forward writer but not much of a descriptive writer.

This is my second Lisa Gardner book. And though I found the beginning to be a little slow, as it was just character building, a few chapters in the book sped up and I couldn't put it down. Very pleased with the way she took that time to develop those characters, in the end it brought it all together.

Separate stories drawn together by murder. DD. meets Alex for the first time. Sparks fly.

Another Lisa G winner. She really knows how to get my heart racing with her webs of suspense. Love her books. All of them, so far.
