Booklover Sadie Coleman knows that in life, as in fiction, the right setting can make a world of difference. The small town of Shady Creek, Vermont, seems like the perfect place to start over after losing her Boston job to a merger and her relationship to her ex's gambling addiction. She's bought and redecorated an old grist mill pub, transforming the Inkwell into a cozy spot where tourists and regulars alike can enjoy a pint or a literary-themed cocktail, or join one of several book clubs.

Great new cozy mystery series. It kept me guessing until the end. However, the title was very misleading as it has nothing to do with wine.

I was a little leery when I saw only 3 1/2 stars for this book, as I'd just finished 3 fabulous books this week and didn't want to lose my momentum; but as Amazon's readers gave it 5 stars, I decided to give it a go, and I'm so pleased that I did. This was such a well written cozy mystery with interesting characters, good character development, great pacing, no typos, and a surprising ending. The only fault I can find with the book is the title; it must have been title by the publisher, rather than the author, as it had nothing to do with the storyline. I highly recommend it and am looking forward to the 2nd in the series!
