After five years and seven hugely successful seasons, it's time for the MacDonald clan to hang up their sporrans. But that's not before a few old friends come to visit. Love is in the air for both young and old in Glenbogle, but nothing is as is seems on the Scottish estate. Will they all live happily ever after?

In the mood for something light-hearted and sweet? Try this series. Great for fans of Tom Baker and Susan Hampshire.

We have watched this whole series about three times since it was first aired.
It is enjoyable and location/s are a nice depiction of highland 'about 30 years ago?'.

Characters are diverse and lovable, and the story develops well with each series. It is not too sugary-sweet, and the series conclusion is very satisfactory: not all ends are neatly tied, there are enough clues so you could anticipate a future for Glenbogle.

I would watch again in another 12 months or so. (Good for all incl. families, although can't think kids would be interested.)

Very enjoyable, humourous, description of a Scottish noble family trying to exist.
