Pitch perfect. Read cover to cover. Asked around, folks remembered it fondly from school w/much acclaim. Grandson asked me to read it now.

Our son loved this book. He's in 7th grade, 12 years old. One of the first books he's read in a while that he enjoyed. If your child loves survival stories/adventures they will like this book.
