Marketing is difficult enough for authors publishing with one of the big five publishers, who find out fast that unless they are Prince Harry or Hillary Clinton, they have to do most of the work. But still, they do usually have help from publicists to guide them through the process. For authors publishing with small presses – or even harder, they self-published – they don’t even have that. Author and publisher William Burleson will give indie authors the lay of the land and what they can do to make the most of the publishing experience. Attendees will learn about publishing, what makes a book sell (or not), and what you can do to maximize sales. Sponsor: Friends of the Hennepin County Library.
