Learn hand sewing and garment shaping techniques in a trans inclusive space! This workshop will discuss ways to mend and alter garments at home to better fit gender expression. Participants are welcome to bring a garment to work on, or simply use scrap fabric provided to work on techniques. While the workshop centers the trans community, all are welcome! The workshop will be taught by the designer of Mx Apparel Design, Maxine Britt, who has 8 years of experience with gender inclusive fashion.

TransFabulous and TransPractical are each a series of workshops led by artists and educators who identify as transgender (trans) or gender non-conforming (GNC) – TransFabulous provides an outlet through artistic creation while TransPractical addresses applied aspects of the trans/GNC experience. Sponsor: Friends of the Hennepin County Library.
