Wet Cloud: Open Mic for Poetry

6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Minneapolis Central

Description

Join us for an open mic event, led by Amar Agba, focusing on wet cloud poetry. A wet cloud means that we talk about the smell of rain. Downpour is the looming reminder that your loved ones are wet too. Maybe wet skin is not an unnecessary evil. But a dry shirt implies that nothing should cling to your body. When it rains, and smells of rains, and the sky is a deep blue hue, know that a wet cloud was dry with you too. Be creative and share your poetry. Sponsor: Friends of the Hennepin County Library.
