Events › Haiku Poetry Writing Workshop

Explore the traditional artform of haiku poetry in a writing workshop lead by local author, Sandra Hisakuni. Based on her adventures in the Minnesota wilderness, "The Northland Beckons" combines haiku poetry and illustrations drawn by her daughter, Sofia Hisakuni, whose artwork will be on display throughout the library February 8-March 31. The children’s book author will lead participants through activities exploring the art of writing haiku using nature as inspiration and her book as a roadmap.
