In this interactive music appreciation class series, explore music that caused a stir with audiences, governments, or religious institutions for various reasons. Learn about music that challenged societal expectations, from 13th century church music to Loretta Lynn’s “Rated X," and more. Part of a three-part series, "Controversial Compositions." Attendance at all three sessions not required. Collaborator: MacPhail Center for Music. This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
